Borehole pump and water quality testing
Once your water borehole has been drilled and lined, we’ll then undertake testing in order to determine your exact pumping requirements and the quality of the water.
Using a submersible test pump, we’ll check the flow of water coming from the borehole, in terms of the natural water level, quantity and re-charge rate of the borehole. This enables us to correctly size your borehole pump for optimum efficiency.
It is very important that we also test the quality of the water pumped out of your borehole. While borehole water is generally safe to drink, it can sometimes include dissolved minerals or impurities.
For borehole water testing, we’ll arrange for water samples to be sent to a UKAS accredited laboratory to establish the exact content of your water.
From the test results, we’re then able to specify the borehole water treatment systems we need to add to comply with UK water drinking regulations and ensure you have a pure, potable water supply.
